Of all the looks to emerge around underwear as outerwear, exposed stay-ups and suspenders are the most risque and the most difficult to pull off. But that hasn't stopped the most daring of women trying, and I've already spotted it on the streets, in street style blogs (mostly in Paris and Stockholm) and on celebs.
My advice would be to team them with loose fitted or over sized draped pieces- layer up your look as much as possible! Show just a hint of skin- there has never been any harm in that before.
One thing I would say in this area: avoid wearing stockings as complete outwear.
